TAKE ACTION!

Volunteer in North Carolina

North Carolina’s voter ID law is under litigation but it’s likely that all voters will need some kind of photo ID for future elections. We just don’t know yet what will specifically be required or when those requirements will go into effect.

What we do know is that voters can’t wait on courts and politicians for action. It can take months to get vital documents like birth certificates.

We need to cut through the confusion and help folks secure the ID they need now.

VoteRiders is seeking dedicated volunteers to help provide free voter ID education and assistance to eligible voters across North Carolina.

This an opportunity to make an immediate impact – directly helping someone secure the ID they need.

How you can help:

  • Organize and work in-person at Voter ID Clinics hosted by VoteRiders and our partner organizations. These events bring one-on-one ID assistance to voters in convenient locations like schools, food banks, churches, probation offices, temporary housing facilities or shelters.
  • Provide virtual ID help to people who have requested assistance, through our partners or self-referral. Work one-on-one with voters on your schedule!
  • Help confirm DMV appointments and coordinate voter transportation.
