Robin Turner
Ohio Organizer
Robin Turner is an educator, organizer and humanitarian. She has a deep commitment to racial equity, engaging directly impacted individuals and communities, and demonstrating cultural proficiency. Robin most recently worked at Cleveland VOTES, where she was a civic engagement strategist. She has previously worked at Family Support Services as a Quality Mental Health Provider; the Ohio Organizing Collaborative as a Social Justice Organizer; and the Eye for Change Family Services as a Quality Mental Health Specialist. Robin holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Cleveland State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in education from National University. She has achieved certificates in Chemical Dependency Counseling and Lead Contracting, and is a Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood Ambassador. She also serves as President of the ACLU’s Smart Justice Advisory Board. Robin lives in an intergenerational urban Cleveland home with her mother, children, grandchildren, and their dogs – Pepper and Rose.
