DeVonte Yates

Wisconsin Organizer

DeVonte Yates, VoteRiders’ Wisconsin Organizer, is a Milwaukee native who is deeply committed to his city and its people. He has a strong background in case management and community engagement, having worked previously as a Reentry Case Manager at Ross Innovative Employment Solutions and as a Customer Service Representative at the Milwaukee Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Earlier in his career, he was a field organizer with Wisconsin Jobs Now. DeVonte is currently working towards his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Concordia University-Wisconsin and aims to pursue a Master’s degree upon completion. Outside of community organizing and work, he enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
