Colorado is a non-strict voter ID state.

Every registered Colorado voter receives a mail ballot at the address in their voter registration file. A copy of your ID is not required when you vote by mail in Colorado.

Can you use a student ID to vote in Colorado?

Yes! Colorado accepts student or employee IDs from post-high school institutions in the state.

Your student ID must have your photo and be unexpired.

Can you vote without an ID in Colorado?

A copy of your ID is not required when you vote by mail in Colorado.
 
Registered Colorado voters must show an acceptable ID at the polls to vote a regular ballot.

If you are a registered voter and don’t present an acceptable ID to vote in person, you may cast a provisional ballot.

Your provisional ballot will be counted if you complete a provisional ballot affidavit and election officials determine you are eligible to vote.
